Coming Home
Do the words "Coming Home" and "My Congregation" come together for you in a positive way? Do you experience the love of God and growth in your faith and relationship with God in a nurturing and empowering way in your congregation? Is your congregational life what you expected it to be? Is it what you believe that God wants for your life, your congregation's life and the lives of those outside its walls.
In returning to congregational life, it was Pastor Anne's experience, that Jesus did not seem to be at the center of congregational life. Even after being ordained she found that other concerns seemed to be more important in congregational life than Jesus.
She became convinced that the only way for congregational renewal was to call congregations to focus their corporate life and the lives of their people on Jesus. It is also her belief that the difficulties that many congregations are facing is a "wake up" call from God to "come home" and abide in Jesus.
Coming Home is the written answer to her desire for authentic renewal in Christian congregational life.
